【DWork初体验】Jiale’s Presentation For Protocol Labs

近期中美贸易战升级不断，战火已然烧向国内科技龙头企业华为，然而领袖级企业家任总的格局让小编肃然起敬：

未来，战火或将弥漫至国内各个行业各个领域，身处如今这样一个动荡的金融局势下，我们普通老百姓该如何应对？

个人认为：理性对待外来文化，保持谦卑的态度，学习符合世界发展规律的前沿知识，强化自己的认识是先人一步走出困局的唯一出路。

又有点扯远了，咳咳，回归正题：

之前，一直对Protocol Lab的管理模式表示敬意和好奇：
- 全员在家办公却又能按照Scrum的模式开发产品。
- 没有固定的办公场地，却有条不紊地良好运作5年之久，市值数十亿美金。
- 没有刻意的市场营销，却吸引了来自全世界的优质志愿者。
....

或许，类似分布式互联网（DWeb）的愿景和Web3.0的实现终将在一个具备这样基因的团队下诞生。

前段时间，嘉乐受到协议实验室的Persentation邀请，参加了 5月13日官方的周会IPFS Weekly Call，为官方CoreTeam做Presentation的同时也真正亲身感受了一次全球性地分布式协作（DWork）办公过程，就会议进程来讲，从组织到会议进行再到最后的会议记录同步仅仅40分钟就完成了，所有环节的效率相比平时职场的会议都出奇地高，一改我之前认为DWork效率低下的认知。

确实，凡事都要多面思考，如果你做过管理，你会深有体会：把几个优秀的人拧成一股绳是非常困难的，更不要说是管理上百人的团队，团队成员还分散在全世界，换做是你，你可能根本找不出比Protocol Lab更成功的管理方式了。小编认为，这对于很多年轻的企业管理者来说，这都是可学习和借鉴的价值点。

后续小编也将会多体验几次DWork的流程，并总结其中适合全球化团队管理的几个优势点，分享给大家。

下面是5月13-14号凌晨，嘉乐为远在海外的协议实验室IPFS官方团队所做的Presentation内容记录，期望能为中国相关领域的开发者和从业者带去一些积极的反馈。

1.Introduce Myself

My chinese name is Jiale Dai. I was a Software Engineer in Baidu before, responsible for the back-end research and development of Baidu Map Product.

我的中文名字是Jiale Dai。我以前是百度的软件工程师，负责百度地图产品的后端研发。

I left Baidu last year and now I focus on fintech and edge computing technology solutions.

我去年离开了百度，现在我专注于金融科技和边缘计算技术解决方案。

2.How Is My Life Meet With IPFS

It was due to the Filecoin ICO at coinList in 2017 ,which was the time that most of chinese enthusiasts got to know protocol lab.

由于2017年协议实验室发起了Filecoin项目的艾西欧，这也是大多数中国爱好者认识协议实验室的时间点。

And so do I.

我也是在这个时间点了解到IPFS这门技术。

After that ，I plan to study other Protocol Labs's projects such as: IPFS\Libp2p\Mutiformat.

The more I study, the more I feel those technology's potential is powerful.

The advantages ，such as content addressing 、 simplified network protocol and self-describing data format conversion . They can be combined well with some other technologies.

So I spent my spare time to keep studying and made some demo with Protocol Labs' technologies.

Also, wrote some articles and organized some meetups or demo days in China to bring it for more and more chinese developers.

I strongly believe the goal of protocol labs and I can't wait to see what's going to happen when a decentralized web world was built.

3.IPFS Developers Meetup in China

Perhaps the greatest interest of everyone is the IPFS Developers Meetups I held in China last year.

也许大家最感兴趣的是我去年在中国举办的IPFS开发者沙龙。

Now, let me highlight them:

1st：

I hold the first IPFS Developers Meetups in April 2018 in Beijing.

2018年4月，我在北京举办了首届IPFS开发者沙龙。

The first idea of this meetup is served for those developers who want to study IPFS and get free discussion about it between each other.

发起这个会议的第一个初衷是为那些想要学习IPFS并缺乏沟通的开发人员所提供一个线下的机会。

So we control the numbers under 15 in order to keep a good communication space and choose a coffee shop to make everyone relax and feel at home.

We had tree main topics:

We hold the second IPFS Developers Meetups a month later at bCamp in Beijing.

一个月之后，我们和北京的BCamp一起举办了第二届开发者沙龙

There are morn than 50 attendees this time
include investors \ students \ miner \ businessmem.

这次有超过50位的与会者，其中包括投资人，学生，矿工和创业者。

Because of the professional nature of these speech topics , more than half of them are developers or software engineers.

由于这次的话题一样具备一定的专业性，前来的与会者超过一半的是开发者和软件工程师。

We had four main topics:

The third IPFS Developers Meetups was been held at a business incubator in August last year.

第三届的IPFS开发者沙龙是在一家创业孵化器中举办的，时间为去年8月。

There were three main topics:

这次主要讨论得是三个方向的话题：

Topic1 ： If IPFS can be combined with Solid

话题1：是否IPFS可以与Solid技术结合？

Solid means social linked data technology . It was create to build distributed social applications based on related data by Tim Berners-Lee , which can help people protect their data in a new way.

Solid技术全称Social linked data技术，由传奇人物：互联网之父Tim Berners-Lee创建，目的是为了用来搭建分布式社交应用的数据依赖问题。

Topic2 ： What’s the libp2p and how it works.

话题2：什么是Libp2p，并且其是如何工作的？

Topic3 ： What’s the Filecoin and what it built for .
话题3：Filecoin是什么以及其的应用场景？

There are morn than 100 attendees this time.

这次的会议出席人数超过了100人。

More than half of them are miner cause of the topic of filecoin

由于这次的话题中存在Filecoin的内容，出席的与会者中大多数都是矿工。

But it also attracted some famous technology companies'staffs,such as alicloud、Hikvision、Seagate...

但是仍然也吸引了一些著名科技公司的软件工程师，例如：阿里云，海康威视，希捷等...

There were still some of developers came for solid and libp2p.

同时，也吸引了少部分的Solid和Libp2p的专项技术爱好者。

Through these three developer meetups, I can clearly see that the number of Chinese developers interested in IPFS has increased quickly,

通过这三次的开发者沙龙，我可以很清晰地看到对IPFS技术感兴趣的中国开发者数量正在与日俱增。

which indirectly promoted the contributions of many Chinese developers for the code commits and application design in the open source community later

这也间接促进了许多中国开发者后来在开源社区中对协议实验室其他项目的代码提交、应用设计、issue解决等工作。

4.Some Of Chinese Contributions To IPFS Community

In the past , as far as I know, besides me, in the past, many enthusiasts in China have made many contributions to the protocol lab community in different aspects.

据我所知，除了我之外，还有很多其他中国的爱好者在过去从很多不同的方面，为协议实验室做了大量的贡献与帮助。

It's mainly concentrated in three sections:

这些贡献和帮助大部分集中在三个方面：

Community co-organization is the earliest and most involved.

社区组织这个方面：是大家最早投入并且目前参与人数最多部分。

Most of the enthusiasts, miners, investors and developers gather here.

大部分的IPFS领域的爱好者，投资人和开发者都聚集在这之中。

As for education section, it's promoted by professional and technical teachers and bloggers.

至于教育培训这个方面：主要由一些专业的技术讲师和技术博客创作者在为此努力。

As for open source section, it's promoted by technology companies and independent developers.

至于开源工作这个方面：由一些技术公司和优秀的独立开发者们在推动。

Due to the unconvenient work by github, so this section is the slowest and the least number of people.

由于这部分需要使用Github和熟悉开源社区的协同工作模式，有一定门槛，这部分的推动进展最慢，参与的人数也是远远不及以上两个方面。

But on the other hand，it's a good start!

但这也是一个很棒的开始，很欣慰，中国爱好者在开源贡献这块也能有从0到1的过程。

Thanks to Tianyi Dong’s tour speeches all over china , the work of community co-organization got rapid growth last year.

4.1 Community Co-organization（社区组织）

多亏了董天一前辈去年在全中国进行的IPFS巡回演讲解读，上文提到的社区组织工作发展迅速。

After that , more and more community co-organization camp out at different cities ：

Beijing\Hangzhou\Shanghai\Fuzhou\Shenzhen\Hongkong Chengdu and so on.

越来越多的社区和组织如雨后春笋，在中国不同城市发展壮大：北京、厦门、杭州、上海、福州、深圳、香港、成都
等地都有了爱好者团体。

Among them, there are some outstanding communities with the most aggregations and the most active and active activities, such as: ipfs.fund.

The first meetup of protoschool in china was made in Feburary. Study group have been set up for filecoin by IPFS-Force community and LD Research.

ProtoSchool在中国的落地也非常顺利，第一届ProtoSchool的见面会由IPFS-Force原力区和了得研究院今年二月在上海举办，并于当天成立了Filecoin研究学习小组。

The most worth mentioning is that IPFS workshop 101 firstly launched at Hong Kong Baptist University.

In the past few months, there have been a lot of code commit contributions from Chinese independent developers and technology companies , you can see them in many projects such as service-worker-gateway, go-ipfs, go-filecoin, go-libp2p.

在过去的几个月中，你们可以看到，在协议实验室的几个流项目仓库（例如：service-worker-gateway, go-ipfs, go-filecoin, go-libp2p），已经存在很多来自中国独立开发者的代码提交记录和合并。

Of course, besides code commit, there are also Chinese developers who use IPFS to design solutions and develop applications:

IPFS–MD-WIKI：a distribute wiki system with ipfs and markdown（一个基于IPFS与Markdown书写协议的分布式wiki系统。）

We can use markdown to quickly edit content and generate web page in the form of wikis, publish them to IPFS networks, and based on the eatures of IPFS network, wikis can be freely edited 、pin stored、and shared.

我们使用markdown可以快速编辑和书写wiki内容，并生成特定wiki格式的网页数据。由于IPFS自带Webserver功能，wikis内容可以被很便捷地创作，固定存储以及分享展示于互联网之上。

Maze: an end to end encryption network box with libp2p（基于libp2p的一个端到端加密网盘）

It can encrypt large files through the client and get high speed transfer from p2p architecture.

这个项目可以通过libp2p的架构加密并高速传输大文件。

The Angel： a donation platform with IPFS and EOS（Angel：一个基于IPFS与EOS的慈善捐赠平台）

All donations are subject to EOS contract , transaction certificate is generated with a picture stored on IPFS.After that, the IPFS CID content is written into the contract for two-way binding 。It helps to improve tracing of each donation.

基于这个应用，所有的捐赠操作都是依托于EOS合约来执行，并且捐赠凭证图片会在合约回调中被生成，记录捐赠人、捐赠对象，时间、金额等关键信息将被用以生成一份电子证书，并存储于IPFS系统中，电子证书的内容ID也将再次回写至EOS合约之中，实现双向绑定。这将帮助提高每笔捐赠的可追踪性和真实性。

5. My Advices About IPFS or Filecoin Development In China

Just now , we talked about the some Of Chinese Contributions To ProtocolLabs and IPFS Community.

刚刚，我们聊到了一些中国方面对协议实验室和IPFS技术相关的贡献。

But all these three aspects of contribution's work require a lot of manpower and financial resources

但是，这些方面的这些工作都需要花费大量的人力物力资源投入。

Only rely on the interests of individual enthusiasts, it will be difficult to last or keep moving.

仅仅依靠一些独立爱好者的兴趣来支撑，将变得难以维持，且无法长久持续下去。

that's why there are so many groups of miners to set up companies for minning in Chinese.

这也是为什么在中国有这么多团队以服务Filecoin矿工和挖矿为主。

Because it's a clear bussiness model they can run and they can keep their company alive.

因为，这其中存在一个很清晰的商业模式，并且可以支持这些团队和公司长久运转。

Althought some of those company have caused bad scams and badcases , there are still some reliable 、believable developers、community enthusiasts or good miners in chinese.

虽然，其中不乏一些曾引起过欺诈行为和不好影响的公司和团队，但中国依然有很多值得信赖的开发者，矿工，创业团队。

Of course, As time goes on , with the spread of protoschool's work and the officially launching of filecoin.

当然，随着时间的发展，Filecoin不断被地和测试，官方组织更多对外的交流，

I believe many chinese will know more about Protocol Lab's Technology in the right way and use it for the right things.

我相信，很多中国人会更加理解协议实验室所开发地这些技术，并用正确的方式将其用在正确的地方。

The badcases in China will become fewer and fewer.

在中国存在的一些不良事件将变得越来越少。

The most important thing I think to improve IPFS or Filecoin development in chinese is :
if we can find out more befitting business models for those chinese company besides selling minning machine.

在我看来，对于IPFS、Filecoin这类技术想落地中国并发展得更好，最重要的一点是：我们是否能为中国相关领域的创业公司和用户找到除了矿机之外，更多彼此受益的商业模式？

Here are some of business models that I think we can try ：

下面是我这边，关于更多其他商业模式的一些提议，我觉得我们可以一起试一试：

Professional Education Bussiness and Official Certificate （职业化的教育付费课程和相关认证证书）

Education of training camp, knowledge payment and certificate of skills are well-done business models, which is familiar to everyone, but it is necessary for the protocol lab to take the lead in setting standards. Just like some cloud skills certificates of AWS, I think this development can be carried out by ProtoSchool In the future.

教育和知识付费，技能证书认证是一个广为人知，长久以来都运作良好的商业模式，但是需要协议实验室来带头设定标准，就像AWS和阿里云一样会自己成立云栖学院和颁布相关云计算职业证书，我认为未来这些事情都可以通过ProtoSchool来推动和承载。

In this way, there will be many full-time developers in China who can join in. They can rely on training and help more people to obtain certificates to earn income and ensure more contributions to the community while living.

另外，这还可以吸引到很多中国全职的开发者加入，他们可以通过培训和让更多人通过证书考试来确保维护和推广这些技术的同时，也不影响生计。

Hackathon with Protocol lab's technologies is needed for chinese （需要一些来自协议实验室技术的黑客马拉松和创投机会）

We can organize some hackathons or software innovation competitions in China.

我们可以在中国组织一些围绕协议实验室相关技术来创业创新的黑客马拉松活动，并且赋予表现优异的团队以官方的投资孵化。

not only it can help to let you discover and support great chinese teams those who can use protocol lab's technologies to create excellent application and new business models.

这不仅仅可以帮助协议实验室和优秀的中国创业团队一起发现新的商业模式和开发优秀的应用。

but alse it can help to speed up the process of teaching chinese how to use this technology in the right way for more imaginative bussiness models.

还可以加速让更多中国爱好者学习如何正确使用这些技术来创造更多有潜力的事业。

More Official Community Events Is Needed In Chinese（中国需要更多与官方交流的渠道）

We all know，the great bussiness models can't be fall from the sky , it need more active communication to find out for each other.
